Your suggestion really hit the nail on the head—we’ll implement it right away.

4. Take the bull by the horns

To deal with a difficult situation boldly and directly.

It’s time to take the bull by the horns and address the team’s low morale.

5. In the driver’s seat

To be in control of a situation.

With this promotion, you’re in the driver’s seat and can shape the company’s future.

?? Top Tip

Use Idioms in Context

Instead of just memorizing idioms, try using them in sentences or conversations. This helps solidify their meanings and makes them easier to recall. For example, after learning "break the ice," you might say, "I broke the ice at the meeting by asking about everyone's weekend." The more you use an idiom, the more natural it will feel.

?? Practice Exercise

Write a short paragraph describing a leadership scenario using two of these idioms. Practice sharing it with a colleague or mentor.
