August marks the completion of ten months since our inauguration into office. This period has been a remarkable journey filled with high hopes and aspirations. During this time, we have worked diligently to enhance the Agency's image, encourage innovation, and foster strong partnerships with the private sector, development partners, DFIs, and other government bodies, both at the State and Federal levels. These efforts will culminate in the upcoming inaugural Anambra Investment Summit.

The Summit, a one-day event, will gather not only the people of Anambra but also key stakeholders in investment banks, Development Finance Institutions, development partners, banks, and captains of industries. This event serves not only as a demonstration of our commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to flourish but also as a platform to spotlight key infrastructure projects that will drive the State's economy and generate economic opportunities for our young population.

During the Summit, we will unveil our flagship projects and policy priorities aimed at attracting private-sector participation - a first for our agency. Our interactive session at the Summit will span diverse sectors, including Industrial parks, Gas and Sustainable Energy, Transportation, Technology and Business Incubation, Agro-industrialization, and Leisure & Entertainment. Additionally, we will officially launch the much-anticipated Anambra Development and Investment Corporation (ADIC).

In the past few months, a dedicated team has worked tirelessly to ensure that our event generates tangible outcomes, avoiding the pitfall of mere talk. The Summit will witness significant policy announcements regarding industrialization, transportation, and power infrastructure. Committed investments and project financing in areas such as agriculture, leisure & hospitality, and renewable energy, amounting to over $150 million, will also be announced. The proposed ADIC will serve as the fulcrum for effectively executing the projects highlighted during the summit.
