7 of the hottest trends to help you or your brand blow-up on Tiktok in the week ahead.
This works best with two people. It’s simple - one person lip-syncs the words, the other does the backing vocals. Bonus points for adding sunglasses!
Although this trend doesn’t involve text, there’s potential to add some - for example, ‘me and my co-worker coming together to make quality content for our clients’.
2. The Last Time
Lip sync along to the words ‘that was the last time’ and use the onscreen text to describe a mistake you made for the last time. This could be a business mistake you made when you were still learning, a mistake you made with a client, or just a general mishap in life.
3. Everything Is Awful
Creators are using this audio to… well… talk about how everything is awful.
This can be used in reaction to almost anything - a few examples I’ve seen include finishing a good book, watching a sad movie or just watching the news in general!
4. ‘Societal collapse’
The first sound on this week’s newsletter to come from the Venice Film Festival. Actor Timothee Chalamet said this during an interview and it’s since become a bit of a meme due to the casual way in which he speaks about something so dramatic. This can be used for almost anything, but is probably at its funniest when used in response to mundane everyday things like ‘when I pay £7 for a tub of Lurpak’!
5. ‘Like a movie’

Another one from Venice Film Festival. In this particular interview, Harry Styles tells us what he loves about his new movie, Don’t Worry Darling: ‘it feels like… like a movie’.
Of course, the internet couldn’t resist the temptation to turn this bold statement into a meme. And you can use it for almost anything!
6. Skipping through stories
You know that one person on social media who broadcasts their entire day? Click on their story and see there’s about 30 sections?
Hold the camera at an angle where you’re looking down at your phone. Tap the screen repeatedly as if you’re skipping through this person’s stories and use onscreen text to describe why you’re skipping through them. It could be anything from influencers not disclosing ads to your aunt filming an entire concert.
7. A Drug From God - Chris Like & NPC
Creators are using this song to share - for them - what’s ‘in’ and what’s ‘out’ this season. This can be anything from fashion trends to daily habits.
A nice simple trend to make use of as the season changes!
Remember you are just one Tiktok away from blowing up your business - so grab your ringlight, the offices best lipsyncer and get ready to batch your content for the week!
Happy Wednesday,
Amanda
