147 mile hydrogen adventure!
My 2nd significant adventure with the Honda Clarity included a "blue" highways drive that culminated at a restaurant with my San Diego daughter, Veronica in the name.
Being an avid kayaker, this trip also included traveling over the San Dieguta River, San Diego River, Sweetwater River (near the El Capitan Reservoir on the return leg), Jamal Creek, Dulzura Creek (flows out of nearby Barrett Lake), Potrero Creek, Campo Creek (near Morena Reservoir), Pine Valley Creek as well as near the Loveland Reservoir.
As an avid hiker, this trip traveled by the Torrey Pines State Reserve, San Dieguta River Park, Old Sweetwater River Bridge hiking trail, San Diego National Wildlife Refuge, Hollenbeck Canyon State Wildlife Area, the Otay Wilderness, Pacific Crest Trail's Southern Terminus, Cleveland National Forest, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park as well as the Pine Creek Wilderness.
Being part Native American, the trip passed the Campo Native American Reservation, Viejas Native American Reservation as well as the Capitan Grande Native American Reservation.
As a former Air Force Officer, the trip passed near Miramar Naval Air Station, the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, El Centro Naval Air Facility as well as Gillespie Field.
My goal was to capture images of the Honda Clarity near landmarks within San Diego County that locals may not experience. I have some great photos that I will post after my return to the office.
The trip totaled 147 miles in which I averaged 62.0 miles per kilogram which is equivalent to a gallon. But since the fuel is free from American Honda for my lease term, this trip like the last was infinite miles per dollar!????
