13 Years of Bleeding Blue: A Journey of continuous learning and growth

Thirteen years. A journey through the vibrant tapestry of IBM, marked by seven distinct roles, nine inspiring managers, four promotions, and an unwavering commitment to learning. I've invested 13,453 hours in honing my skills, earning 14 badges, achieving 18 certifications and an Executive MBA from the Sloan School of Management. But beyond these numbers lies a story of personal and professional growth, deeply intertwined with my advocacy for neurodiversity.

IBM has been more than just a workplace; it's a crucible where I've transformed challenges into opportunities. Each role has offered a unique perspective, allowing me to understand the business from diverse angles. Working with nine managers has honed my adaptability and resilience, while the trust bestowed through four promotions has fueled my ambition.

My journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge. The 13,453 hours I invested in learning have shaped me into a well-rounded professional. Badges and certifications are milestones, but the real growth lies in applying knowledge to real-world challenges. The Executive MBA was pivotal, providing me with a strategic lens to view the business landscape.

However, my most significant contribution has been advocating for neurodiversity. As a neurodivergent individual, I've experienced firsthand the challenges and rewards of working in a neurotypical world. IBM's commitment to diversity and inclusion has provided a platform for me to share my experiences and champion the potential of neurodiverse talent.

Neurodiversity is not about deficits but different ways of thinking, problem-solving, and innovating. By fostering an inclusive environment where neurodivergent individuals can thrive, IBM is tapping into a vast pool of untapped potential. It's about creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique strengths.

Reflecting on these thirteen years, I am grateful for the opportunities, support, and encouragement I've received. I am proud to be part of a company committed to building a more inclusive and equitable future. Here's to many more years of blue, where innovation, diversity, and human potential converge to create extraordinary outcomes.

Here's to many more years of bleeding blue! Thank You, IBM
