13 years in the bag at LinkedIn
When Jim Duddy stopped at my cabin in Colorado last night to help me celebrate my 13 year #LinkedIn anniversary [today], I was crying like a newborn baby. I had not seen him in years IRL, and TBH I needed a friend, a true rider.
As I celebrate 13 years at LinkedIn I am contemplating how lucky I have been to work with such amazing people, and what the true value of trust really is, and how easy it is for someone to ghost you when things are not great. Luckily most of my friends I have made at LinkedIn are still with me...not just when I was on top but when I was deeply depressed, anxious, sad, or needing help.
When I rode a bike onto a stage at sales training in 2011, or refused to prepare in the usual way. When Christina Allen helped me transform my interest in serving students into talks in front of thousands, and Jessica Naeve helped my MVP dreams come true.
The calls I made to Amber Rios Flores Brian Tietje Kim Luegers Joseph Gonzalez Kim R. Richard Goulette ?? Andrew Cohen Emily (Gabrian) Bestimt Michael Levine Jeff Becker many more to help me either calm down or get a grip and reconnect with my confidence, and sometimes remind me of my privilege working here, at LinkedIn, and in tech.
I have amazing coaches and mentors, received constant input from my inner circle, and have worked with brilliant people like Daniel Shapero James Raybould Leela Srinivasan Jessica Naeve Forest Baker, PhD George Seiters Penry Price Alyssa M.
