13 tips to help your business combat the impact of COVID-19 - Part one
Firstly, we will recover. However, the question needs to be asked where is your business going to be when we recover?
Now is the time to optimise your business’ efficiency as those who stay on the course will end up on top. Now is not the time to switch off your SEO or marketing campaigns. If you are working from home, now is the time to make the most of having quiet time to get those tasks done. It’s time to pivot and re-position your business to survive the current situation. Now is the perfect time to rebuild your website if you’ve been thinking about doing so and re-do your marketing plan. All businesses need a strategy on how to survive in this new market.
Below are some tips which we’ll cover over two emails to give clarity on how to maximise your short- and long-term business plans;
- Interview customers. Use Zoom, Skype or Google Hangout. Your customers are also at home. Connect with them and see their body language. Find out what is happening in their lives. Ask face to face questions and discuss their queries.
- Mini audit of your content assets. Get specific about what you could do in order to have a clear plan. Make lists of your emails, webpages, blog posts, whitepapers, and e-books. This will help you strategise, update templates and use them all together to maximise impact. Fresh content now is more important than ever. You can re-target when business really picks up again.
- Send an email of how COVID-19 either impacts or doesn’t impact your business. A lot of businesses are slowly moving online during this changing market. You need to be quick to get your business optimised online, now! Your house is your digital showroom and your website is your digital house.
- Plan webinars and introduce new products, people and answer FAQ. Think about what kind of webinar will add value to your customers. Think about what questions your customers might be thinking or wanting to ask. 91% of professionals say webinars are their favorite content platform for learning!
- Clean up your administrative mess. We all have a mess, now is the time to clean it up! Write posts you’ve been meaning to get to. Get the webinars and pod casts started or posted. Anything that’s lingering, make the most of time at home to get it all done.
- Take aim at different types of SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages). Dig deeper and plot your domination!
- Record videos. Videos are a fantastic way to engage your customers. Now more than ever make videos that add immense value to your business. Take 5-10 quotes from your media releases or videos and include them across your social media as screenshots. Some people prefer to read, others prefer images. Ensure you are reaching and appealing to all audiences.
