PRODUCT INSERTS MAKE A COMEBACK??
“What’s old is new again.”
Product inserts are having their moment. These slips of paper, tucked into product packaging, have always been a reliable and attributable way for marketers to reach customers directly.
With rising CAC and crowded marketplaces, brands like Magic Spoon are revamping this channel to connect with consumers and acquire customers incrementally in a cost-effective way.
Our take? Product inserts are a hidden gem when it comes to effective marketing and customer service. Among our list of best practices, pairing inserts with QR codes makes it more frictionless for consumers in the post-purchase experience. As first-party data becomes harder to obtain, product inserts will continue to play a key role in marketing campaigns.
TECH COMPANIES RACE TO MAKE STORES MORE MEASURABLE ??
Brick-and-mortar is here to stay—and it's better than ever.
In the post-pandemic world, more and more retailers want to better understand how customers are shopping within their physical stores. They're turning to retail tech companies such as Cooler Screen and Placer.ai to modernize the in-store experience.
“The more they can measure it, the more they can understand those impacts, the more they can create a better omnichannel experience,” Ethan Chernofsky, Placer.ai's senior vice president of marketing, told Modern Retail.
Our take? Physical stores will play an increasingly crucial role for retailers as more customers return — and this means that retailers need to revamp their brick-and-mortar strategies. By bridging the gap between physical and digital experiences, retailers can better meet consumers' demands.

2 年Kait! I was thrilled to see your Omnichannel Buzz recap on the comeback of the Package Insert. I’ve long been a huge champion of Package Inserts because they can help an organization accomplish so many things in a controllable, predictable and cost-effective manner: repeat purchases, warranty registrations, product reviews, loyalty program registrations, app downloads, video engagement & more. What I love about PIs is that they’re a nearly unavoidable touch point in the consumer’s doorstep experience. Even to merely recycle a PI, a consumer has to hold it in their hand and glance at it. Not so for many digital tactics.
