13 is still lucky for some. What inspired me at my 13th Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2023

It is a week since we wrapped up our Annual Meeting 2023 in Davos.

My family, friends, and the broader professional network asks me what I actually did there.

I find it impossible to share the myriad "Davos moments", as we call it, there are too many of them… the multitude of personal connections and renewing them, linking those seeking solutions with those that have them, working meetings in which people go deeper into solving problems at systems level, which is everyone's and no one's problem - working on common interests… and that unusual serendipitous connection which gives the “aha” moment that changes one’s life…

Here are my highlights, from efforts I am personally involved in contributing to or supporting, and those which are very close to my heart:

• Working with the incredibly passionate and committed team - kudos to Emily Bayley Gabriele Liotta Lisa Molodtsova Biggie Tangane Fab(ienne) Chanavat (she/her)
• Hearing insights on the future of European geopolitics and economic competitiveness with leading Political figures including PM Sanna Marin and Minister Christian Lindner
• Supporting corporate leaders on their sustainability reporting and energy transition journey and driving Public-private collaboration on coming forth with common and comparable sustainability disclosures
• Supporting the launch of Mobilizing corporate action on #workingwithcancer
• Improving corporate governance and Future-proofing Boards with Chairpersons of global companies ?
• Soaking up on leadership inspiration from scientific leaders on long-term vision setting and managing complexity including Fabiola Giannoti Fabiola Gianotti and Kim Budil Kimberly Budil ; and cultural leaders including Max Frieder of Artolution and Nouf Alosaimi Nouf Alosaimi on rebuilding after conflict and breaking the norm
• Proudly watching India play a crucial role from global economy, to inclusive growth to the energy transition as it holds the Presidency of the G20
• Being a part of the “unlocking Eve” community , hearing their scale up plans and how we can all drive inclusion in our organizations through integrated leadership model at InTent , and incredible effort led by André Hoffmann ?
• Supporting Andrea Delannoy and Nick Chambers on their incredibly valuable effort to inspire the school students from Davos with the inspirational leaders present, through Modelle and Primary futures
• Sharing my own views with my almamater INSEAD, The Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society with Katell. Le Goulven, PhD and Corporate Climate Action in Asia with Neeraj Aggarwal , Paul Marriott and Yash Lohia from our partners 波士顿谘询公司 , SAP and Indorama Ventures

For the 13th time, I felt very privileged to be at the Annual Meeting in Davos, to exercise entrepreneurship in global public interest, to contribute to the acceleration of solutions to many complex challenges, which can take generations to resolve.

Though the short-term outlook remains gloomy according to some, I remain very optimistic about human ingenuity to provide the necessary solutions to bring progress. On verra...
