13 seconds

I am not a big NFL fan, but yesterday's divisional game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills made me shiver. This was, according to many, the best NFL game ever played. The opportunity was there, served on a silver platter for the Bills to play in the AFC championship game at home. Buffalo and surroundings held their collective breaths, reliving the historic misses decades before. Josh Allen could almost taste, touch and smell the sweetness of victory, almost.
It all came down to the last 13 seconds. Statistically, the Bills should have won this game, yet the unthinkable happened. They could not come up with a routine, every day execution of a plan. All they had to do is to kick the ball to the 20 yard line, yet it went beyond the end zone. The rest as they say was history. Chiefs tied the game and won in overtime.
We all have our 13 seconds where we were so sure of our victory, yet we lost because we miscalculated a tiny little aspect of our plan. Bill's nation is still in shock and still not known how they will overcome this next season. Let's hope they will.
