13% Reduced 5G Bandwidth

Are you ready for #5g ?

Do you remember when we used those little keypad phones without an edge feature? I remember my father got charged for answering calls. The first call placed in India was in July 1995.

After seven years, in 2003, Edge phones were introduced. Enhanced GPRS was still making #youtube streaming tough.

It took five years for India to enter into #3g Arena in 2008. MTNL was the first 3G Service provider in India.

The next step on the timeline was #4glte . 2012 gifted us with the 4G phones, which did not only help you with Youtube Streaming but also changed the world. The Whole world started working on the Internet. People became rich with the development of unforeseen technologies. Operating Facebook was much smoother; people were hardly a video call away. You can see them anywhere, anytime you want, with 3mbps of data transfer. A new Era started for Online Games and Virtual Worlds. I still can't believe I work from home with a 4G connection handy. I can use 4g on different technologies now. T1-MPLS, Broadband, and LTE have made it even easier for me to stay online. I am using 3 Internet links where I have prioritized my pieces of stuff so that my work is not interrupted by Latency while my family streams movies on #netflix , #primevideo , #jio , #appletv etc.

Been ten years now. Next month is the launch of 5G, and I can't imagine the bandwidth it will bring. Is it going to be like you think of a movie to download, and it will be on screen? Won't we even get to track the download bar? I am already excited to be a subscriber of 5G.

Service provider AT&T and Reliance has been testing the network and working hard across nations to provide us with the best possible secured connection.

As per Business Town's talks, Bharti Airtel and Reliance JIO have picked up 100 MHz of 3.5-GHz spectrum and 800-1000 MHz in the millimeter bands. This is in sync with global trends.

However, Global data by #Ookla, which monitors 5G speeds across the world, shows the average global quarter (Q3) of 2021 was 166.13 Mbps, 13% lower than Q3 2020 when speeds of 206.22 Mbps were clocked.

Clearly, with more subscribers, the speeds will come down. These companies have still left to work on providing enough towers with improved bandwidth so that the load can be managed without reducing the quality of service and speed.
