The 13 Most Valuable Gifts 2024 Gave Me

May they inspire your own contemplation

Finally I’m able to write from my bed in Noosa. I’ve missed my private morning coffee writings as I’ve slept on the couch whilst my husband isolated in the bedroom with Covid. ?? He's better now thankfully. ????

As I do every January, I've had an intention to gather the gifts that 2024 gave me. Here they are. I hope they inspire you to see what 2024 gave you.

1. My capacity grew not because I made a conscious intention to grow my capacity, but because that’s what 2024’s theme of “Untapped Abundance” had in store for me. This greater capacity was the major gift that everything else I write about here cascaded from.
2. The holy trinity of fear, fire and faith held me and those I coach well. One day I saw a symbol of 3 interlocking circles and thus duality was harmonised once again. We can’t have faith without fear. We can’t have fire without faith. And we can’t have faith without fire. All are essential elements in a transformation process that includes grace.
3. I raised the stakes and integrity was chosen. Internal structures that were threaded in powerlessness came to the surface to be responded to. External containers and support systems that were no longer a match were let go and replaced with those in full alignment with who I am now.
4. Resolution created more space. As those internal and external structures came into integrity, and let me tell you some of those were ‘feet in the fire’ confronting moments, there was now space for the new to emerge. The energetic arteries of the heart were no longer clogged. My capacity to love could now reach further.
5. I finally found a way to be of service to more people. I’d held this intention for years. How can I be of service to more people without the financial commitment of my current programs? I finally saw it in August (well, the first way that is). It was under my nose. I’d invite people into the very rich practice of writing Notes to Self, what I’d been doing for decades. My Best Year Yet was born, writing Notes to Self and shared in sacred community - in service to having our best year ever.
6. I was commanded to "Come out, come out. It's time to stand tall. It's time to claim your place." I voice recorded this Note to Self, or rather Note from God/The Universe as I walked in the forest in Chamonix, France in September. My business transformed overnight in 2013 because I had so much freedom to express myself on Facebook. Yet in the last few years, for various reasons, I became shy. I’ve since come out again and it feels good and natural.
7. Leading our lives from Beautiful Madness is how we break the sound barrier of what is possible. I became aware that every single life-changing moment I’ve had and witnessed in others has always been led from decisions that we could define as "beautiful madness", which leads me onto the next gift.
8. I met a Superpower I didn't know I had. On 23 December as I wrote my Notes to Self, I instinctively began to write out a list of truly life-changing moments. At the 30th one I realised all these moments of beautiful madness were underpinned with "faith beyond reason, evidence or the right circumstances needing to be in place". This faith is not religious, although I believe in an orchestrating force. This faith is not one that I’ve learnt. It’s innate. I then realised the next gift.
9. People lean into my faith when they can't (yet) lean into theirs. This was a very precious gift that got me in all the feels and I am deeply grateful for this shared experience.
10. I met a Superpower I'd been afraid of. On 29 December I went to a sound healing session with my good friend Penny. Even before the sound began I had an insight, and a powerful one at that. I’ve been afraid of using my voice, and I know my voice is a super power. Ironic too considering I have a podcast, I coach, facilitate and write.
11. I was being held accountable to playing full out from my Superpowers. On 11 January we arrived in our happy place Noosa. On the evening of 14 January I slept walked. After my husband woke me, I then had a dream but in this particular dream I was observing myself having the dream and was being shown a vision including its details. It’s called “Harvest” and you’ll know about it soon. This “dream observing experience” has only happened once before and the results I experienced that week were beyond what I’d experienced before. Not only was I being held accountable to my Superpowers of my faith and my voice, but also to my multidimensional, intuitive nature.
12. 2025 is a time of Harvest. Over the course of 2024 I noticed that most people I was coaching were in their 50’s,60’s, 70’s and a wonderful 80 year old. All have years of experience and wisdom and the few who are younger have wisdom beyond their years. This was no longer a time where the phoenix rises from the ashes but rather a time to reap what we've sown, to bring home the harvest and be in service to something much greater than ourselves. I’m so excited about 2025. It truly is a season of abundance.
13. The power of "immersions". I’d never before used the word “immersion” but since we landed on our first holiday in Bali on 6 December until the day before arriving in Noosa, I’ve been in an “immersion” (as you can see from the gifts above). The completion of 2024 has been a crescendo rich in focus, presence, provocation and accountability. It’s been calling, clarifying and directive. I feel like I’m starting 2025 already at the finish line.

Thank you Noosa for the space to bring this all together in gratitude to how my capacity grew in 2024. Thank you for the immersion that began in Bali on 6 December and lasted a little over a month. When I think about what I'll be writing in Noosa this time in 2026 knowing that 2025 is harvest time, I know it will be my best year yet.
