#13 I’ve Been Slacking
Hello, and thank you for checking out my newsletter once again. I know the past few weeks there hasn’t been a newsletter even though I said I’d be doing one every week. I really wanted to stay with it but I felt it would be better to make quality when I was ready rather then just put out something I wasn’t happy with. I’ve been Thinking about ways to expand my reach and turn these newsletters into other forms of content such as videos but I haven’t determined how that would look as of yet. I should be getting some new logo ideas in the next few days so I am curious to find out what they will look like., I hand drew a few ideas that I have and then passed them to my graphic designer to let him work his magic. I’m excited to see what he comes up with. I have been moving along in my photography class which is becoming tougher now that I have several assignments due however I am still plugging away at it. To be honest I’m not really taking the class for the grade but more to learn to be a better photographer which I believe I already am at this point in the semester. This past week I did 2 portrait photo shoots at Artiswhy Studio that I will use for promotional purposes as well as school work. If you haven’t heard of Artiswhy studio it is a photography studio located on Clinton st. In Buffalo New York owned by my friend and Buffalo Photographer, Stephanie Dubin. You can click here to view their website. If you want to take a preview of some my portraits you can check them out here. I had a great time experimenting and got some great shots of my subjects as well.

Another thing I’ve been taking time to learn about recently is content creation. When I started this newsletter my goal was simply to write something every week that aligned with my interests and then test how people react to it. Now after listening in on the seminar Essentials of Digital Marketing by the Enterprise Center at Pathstone I have a greater understanding of the intricacies of content creation and hope to implement these approaches soon. If you are not aware the Enterprise Center at Pathstone provides educational and financial resources for entrepreneurs who are just starting or who are in business and need a little extra help. They focus on helping the underserved members of our community who have great ideas but need a little extra support. If you or someone you know is starting or in the beginning phase of their business I suggest you check them out so you can get more familiar with their resources. There are many great programs out here for entrepreneurs and I will do my best to highlight them in this newsletter whenever I come across them.

Now that the weather is starting to break I expect to get out more and look forward to the sunny days ahead. What are your plans for the summer? Any trips lined up? I am bad about not traveling for some reason I find it more comfortable to be here in Western New York although I prefer to drive if I must travel. I know that seems very contradictory if I would like to be a travel photographer haha. A few places on my bucket list are Seattle and Toronto. I think they offer great opportunities for photography. Let me know in the comments one creative or adventurous passion that you plan to pursue this summer. And if you have any ideas of a cool slogan I can insert at the end of these newsletters be my guest. For now I will just have to use random ones until I find one of my own. So that’s all folks and remember only you can prevent forest fires!
