13 C's to Building Community Online & Beyond
The world stood still three years ago and like many professionals, I became a content creator. While it started out to build my greentech brand, creating content connected me with folks who share my passions and interests, providing inspiration to level up my career to have a bigger impact.
I took my local lessons and dreams from the energy capital of California with the world. In the process, I not only discovered the technology of my dreams , I learned how to build an online community with direct global impact in the creation of jobs, businesses, investment and public private partnerships that could have global implications in advancing innovation and markets. Yet, we are just getting started .
If I can do this from my backyard, in a shed I turned into a studio, you can too.
Let me share my lessons in the hope that you muster the Courage to Create !
Putting theory into practice, I wrote about and experimented with building community to advance sustainability and trigger a sort of "Sustainability Tipping Point ". Ultimately, I leveraged content creation on LinkedIn and other communication tools to become a global connector in the green technology and innovation space with the intent of building online community to effectuate positive change for people and planet.
The lessons all lined up to begin with a C. I shared and first wrote about the 11 C's to Building Community Online . I later shared the 11 C's with LinkedIn who accepted me into the inaugural Creator Accelerator Program where I met 99 amazing creators across industries and expertise. I utilized the opportunity to apply the 11 C's in facilitating a creator community for community's sake and the results are inspiring. I've continued to learn and have since added two more important C's to building community that I learned from my new friends: courage and convert.
