12th Interim Meeting of the ICOM-CC Leather and Related Materials Working Group, 12-13 October, online

The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands and ICOM-CC are pleased to organize the online?12th?Interim Meeting of the ICOM-CC Leather and Related Materials Working Group on 12 & 13 October 2022.

During this online international conference twenty papers and pitches will be presented, material-technical and art-historical, on gilt leather, gilt leather imitations, leather and parchment. Various conservation-methods will be discussed, even as conservation-ethics and in several lectures the use of modern research-techniques will be shown: Carbon-14 dating, ATR-FTIR, TG-FTIR-MS, laser scanners and photogrammetry. There will be papers from all over the world: from the USA to Iran and China, but most will come from Europe: from Norway to Italy and Spain.
