Dear Ethan,
As we stand on the cusp of our nation's 76th Independence Day celebrations, my heart swells with emotions, and my thoughts go back to a poignant but important moment that unfolded a few days back. It was the eve of your school's grand performance, an occasion that promised joy and memories to be cherished.
For a week, your dedication and hard work shone through as you practiced diligently. I watched you closely, my heart brimming with joy. Every step, every twirl, and every hop was a testament to your spirit. And in the days leading up to the event, you gleefully shared your dance routine with us, showing off the choreography you had mastered. We offered our humble suggestions, drawing from our own memories of dancing, to help you shine even brighter on that special day.
The attire was carefully chosen, resembling the theme of India's independence and reflecting the proud colours of our nation. Everything was set, the stage awaited your presence, and a sense of enjoyment enveloped us all.
But then, my dear, something unexpected happened. As we entered your school premises, a sudden wave of reluctance seemed to wash over you. Tears welled up in your eyes, and you held me with a grip that spoke of your inner turmoil. I understood, my love. The separation anxiety, the fear of being alone in a sea of faces, the stage fear? it all came crashing down. And as your cries echoed in the corridors, a realisation dawned – today might not be the day you would step onto that stage.
The performance began, a cadence of youthful energy and bright smiles of your classmates who performed brilliantly, yet there was an empty space where you should have been. And as we stood on the sidelines, our hearts heavy with a mix of emotions, I couldn't help but wonder what had changed in those fleeting moments. We returned home and all of us were pushed to a corner of silence.
Days have passed since then, and your laughter now rings through our home once more. The incident, while a singular moment, holds profound lessons that I wish to share with you, my precious one.
One day,? you will surely? read this letter as a young man, I want you to remember this date, a pivotal moment that speaks volumes about life's lessons. It won't define your journey, but it will remind you of your strength.

I recall that day, a whirlwind of excitement and dreams. The school's stage was set, your peers shining as stars. You, too, were meant to shine, yet hesitation held you back. Tears welled, revealing your vulnerability. Instead of stepping onto the stage, you chose to hold onto your feelings.
Remember this incident as a whisper from the universe, reminding you of your resilience.
May this letter be a beacon of hope. Life is a journey, and you are destined for greatness. This moment is just a chapter in the tale of your life.
Your stage is set, my dear son- fire it up.
With boundless belief and love,
Your Papa
