1) Jane Fonda's "Art for a Safe and Healthy California"

Jane Fonda, in collaboration with Gagosian and Christie’s, is hosting a two-part benefit to oppose a referendum on California’s November ballot. The event, titled "Art for a Safe and Healthy California," took place in Beverly Hills on April 9, featuring works by artists like Jonas Wood and Ed Ruscha . It has already raised $17M, with more art sales planned ahead.

2) RETNA's Latest Print, Released Next Week

Retna 's latest print, "Even The Heart Skips A Beat," debuts on April 18, 2024. Limited to 99 editions, each adorned with hand-applied glitter, signed, and numbered. The artwork showcases Retna's iconic calligraphic style, blending black symbols from various alphabets and graffiti influences on a white background.

3) David Shrigley's Bold Scarf: 'One F**king Thing After Another'

David Shrigley has unveiled a new silk scarf, derived from a beloved limited edition. The scarf, named "Untitled (It’s Just One Fucking Thing After Another)," is inspired by one of Shrigley's paintings and originally released as a limited-edition poster, which quickly sold out online.

4) LA's The Broad $100m Expansion

The Broad, founded in downtown LA in 2015 by Eli and Edythe Broad, plans a $100m expansion, adding 55,000 sq. ft, increasing the gallery space by 70%. Construction begins next year and includes a visible storage room for rotating displays by artists such as Basquiat , Warhol , Koons , and Lichtenstein , completed by the 2028 Olympics.

5) OMA's Artistic Windfall: Haring, Hockney, and More Transform the Collection

The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) has been gifted over 300 artworks by renowned artists such as Keith Haring , and David Hockney . These pieces were donated by New York collectors Dr. James Cottrell and Mr. Joseph Lovett in what the institution referred to as a "transformational gift".
