1284 is hiring - learn more about the job

Do you know someone who’s interested in getting started in the PR industry?

We are in the process of recruiting our first PR and Communications Assistant.

The successful candidate will receive a package including a Real Living Wage salary, PRCA apprenticeship, and MacBook, and more.

Taking on an apprentice is something we’ve been wanting to do for a couple of years.

We now have the range of professionals needed to ensure our new starter gets a great introduction in industry.

The package on offer

This apprenticeship is a great opportunity to join our award-winning strategic communication consultancy.

The successful candidate will be creating B2B content that gets sent to journalists and published on social media.

In return, they'll receive:

  • £22,680pa salary (rising to £24,000pa upon successful completion of a six-month probation period)
  • Flexible hybrid working, across a Monday-Friday 37.5 hour working week
  • Level 4 apprenticeship (Higher national Certificate) with industry-leading PRCA training
  • Modern office space in Loughborough
  • MacBook and iPhone.

What the role will involve

The successful candidate will be someone who likes to think for themselves.

George Oliver, our managing director, said: The apprentice will be working alongside a small, highly experienced, and widely-networked team.

"We’re looking for a self-starter who wants to learn, and who can be relied upon to do what they say they will do - when it needs to be done."

The role might suit a college-leaver who can absorb information and wants to fast-track their career.

Alternatively, it may be someone who has completed a year or two in university and decided they instead want to go straight into industry.

"We particularly want to hear from people who know LinkedIn," added George.

"You’ll be managing accounts, learning quickly, and will be in the right environment to do so."
