12 Tips for staying motivated (despite the rest of the world)

Sometimes, before or during the execution of some work or activity, we are faced with the difficulty of concentrating and even with the will to leave everything for another day, but, be calm, you are not committing any sin. It is your brain asking for a stimulus, a motivation.

Being motivated is one of the most significant challenges faced by professionals. This is because motivation goes far beyond good pay and excellent benefits offered by the company: it is a set of perceptions, thoughts, and directions that lead the individual into a state of fulfillment. It is not just about being excited; it is about knowing how to stay motivated until the end of each day.

Most of us, professionals, live in that crazy race, running from one place to another, trying to accomplish tasks that never end, not knowing exactly what to do to stay motivated. I believe Motivation is critical, not only at work but also in our lives, without motivation nothing happens.

I want to say that staying motivated is only hard in the middle of a super difficult task. However, the truth is much worse. Being motivated is always tricky. Whenever I am dreaming about my next big thing, I am usually dreaming about the result. We all go through this time and by that time when you cross the finish line, for example: when you start a new job, you change the city or when you get a promotion at work, etc. The end of the story is so exciting; is what you are striving for! However, all the rest, which is 99% of the task, is sometimes tough to pass.

And I think if you understand why you're motivated and inspired, it's easier to become motivated and inspired. Tony Robbins explains it all in this video.

To keep me motivated, (despite the rest of the world), I always try to follow some actions and activities that help me raise my spirits and encourages me not to leave anything for another day. I gathered some of these activities here in simple tips that I hope may be useful for you too:

1. Set an objective - What is the purpose behind your activities? How does your work make a difference for business colleagues, people in general, and the world? Is the mission of the organization in which you work aligned with your personal values? It is important that you have a defined goal or a goal to achieve. It is important to dream and want something more for your life and this will help you to feel motivated. When we want something to happen if we do not feel motivated, it is difficult to go through the long walk that we are going to encounter. So focusing on your goals and not giving up is a way to stay motivated.

2. Think positive - Motivation is all about positive thinking. When we are filled with good energies, consequently we only attract all that is best in our lives. So if you are a negative person, choose to change your thoughts even today and see how it will transform your day today.

3. Be disciplined - It is important that you be organized, that you have a well-planned agenda. Do not waste time on what is not important.

4. Relate to motivated people - Surround yourself with people who help you develop your potential, who believe in your talent and who encourage you.

5. Be happy - A person who is always motivated and no matter what difficulties he or she experiences in life, is most likely an individual who, despite everything that happens in his life, is happy! When we are happy, we are able to feel more motivated. So put a smile on your face and meet your happiness.

6. Build your self-confidence - It is important that you believe in yourself, believe that you are capable and this will increase your self-esteem and you will feel much more confident. To want is power.

7. Be determined and persistent - Do not give up on reaching your goal, believe in yourself and do not want to yourself, delay as long as necessary each of us has its own pace.

8. Develop a positive attitude - See the positive side of things, it is important that you are always focused on solutions and not on problems. Problems exist but face them as challenges that often even help us grow and improve.

9. Be creative - Find solutions. Imagine, dream and visualize what you want to achieve, focus on your goal.

10. Listen to music - Often when we are sad and unmotivated with something, the quest to listen to a song we like may be the best remedy. After all, they say that music is the best medicine for the soul and it really can be. In order not to be shaken, put a song high enough to your liking and motivate yourself even more!

11. Sleep well - A person who does not have a good night's sleep tends to be more unmotivated. That's because, upon waking up, she will not have that bump than a person who had a good night's sleep will have. So refresh your energies with a good night's sleep, quiet and quality.

12. Be proactive - It is very important that you stay in action, in an action focused on your goal, do not disperse yourself, you know what you want or where you have to go.

I invite you to reflect on these tips and find out what it takes to be motivated. It is up to you to stay motivated and the more motivated you feel, the better because a motivated person attracts motivated and good-humored people and can improve life on various levels, both professionally and on a personal level.

Your motivation can lead you to excellence, helping you achieve all your goals, going beyond, and surpassing yourself. Motivation is the main fuel for awakening a person's potential, and the tendency is for the individual to do his best when motivated.
