12 Signs You're Successful - Even if You Don't Think So!

Success means different things to different people and not all people view success the exact same way. One person might view being successful as having a lot of money or reaching a specific level in the corporate world, however you may view it, success may not always be imagined.

There are plenty of signs that leads others to believe that you may have already achieved success in life even if we may not totally believe it for ourselves. These signs may be very subtle or pretty darn obvious, but none the less, they are unmistakable signs that you have in fact become successful in life and you should embrace that success.

Here are my 12 signs you’re successful, even if you don’t think so

1) Making money is no longer your driving force - While there was a time in your life that you would have done most anything to get ahead in your job, now you may stop and think is it really worth it. You no longer feel that you are needing to miss out on a much needed family vacation because you are afraid that it might jeopardize your chances at a promotion. You now see that enjoying a vacation is more important in your life and not worrying about the money.

2) You are empathetic - You now see that there are many others that were involved in making the outcome at work and you no longer feel that it was all your doing that the outcome was positive. Ensuring that others are receiving the acknowledgment for their contributions is more important and you see to it that it happens.

3) You no longer look for praise at workplace - You are not always looking for someone to say “great job” when you do a good job. You simply do your job and get it done the only way you know. This is something that all of the really successful people emulate everyday.

4) You have a more positive outlook on life - You now see that the glass as half full and that things do in fact happen for a reason. You are able to find a silver lining when things don't happen as you may have planned the first time. You know that you will find the correct answer in good time.

5) You have raised your standards of living - You no longer allow things in your life that you once overlooked and are much happier for it. You now surround yourself with a better group of people that are more like the way you see yourself. It is often those bad influences that kept you back from doing the things that you should have been doing all along.

6) You no longer compare yourself to others - You no longer gauge your self-worth based on others around you and instead go by what you bring to the table. This tends to make the entire group a much more cohesive unit when everyone lets their ability shine through in order to accomplish a goal.

7) You have a plan - Making plans was the one thing that seems to be at the heart of what makes you good at what you do. It is also something that many, many of the most successful people in business do on a daily basis in their own lives. The old saying “Failing to plan is planning to fail” is no longer in your vocabulary.

8) You see failure as a necessary evil - You are finally able to see the failure can be used as a learning tool and by embracing it you are now able to help other see the same vision. While failing may not be what everyone aspires to do, now you see that it can easily be turned into a positive and grow from it.

9) Learning new things is exciting - Keeping an open mind about things both in your career and personal life you are much open to trying and learning new things. The knowledge will help you to continue to grow as a person and to further yourself professionally. Embracing new things and taking on new challenges can also be incredibly rewarding in your personal life as well.

10) You seek out help from others - Being confident in one's ability does not mean that you have to do everything yourself and knowing when to ask for others help is seen as a good sign on any team. This is especially true in most business environments. By including as many people as is necessary as to ensure that you are not doing too much of the work is a great way to ensure that you don't get burned out. It also tends to keep the group working in harmony.

11) You can say No - You no longer feel the need to say “yes” to everything even if you probably were not actually fully capable of carrying out the request. Now you are more comfortable in your abilities and feel that you are more able to accept only what you know you can do and complete it successfully.

12) You are happy - While you may not have realized that after years of working hard and not feeling like you were really accomplishing a whole lot, it is the success that ultimately brought you the happiness you are feeling now. Now that you have discovered the secret, you know what it takes to keep the feeling going which in turn will make you happy.

Being successful does not always mean the same thing to everyone and that is why it may not always be apparent to them. I hope that this blog post helped you see that you can be successful even though you may not even realize it now.

Hopefully another successful and encouraging article just for you!
