12 Months 12 Books

Many years back, I visited to a World Book Fair and was absolutely shocked to see that there were millions of books. Two things immediately came to my mind:

  1. Out of these books, I have not written even one.
  2. So much of knowledge is out there that in ones life, it is not possible to cover all, so why to waste time.

In short, I gave up reading books which were not required for my academic requirements. Thankfully, in last few years, my daughter has rekindled my reading habits. Last year, I decided to take target of 1 book a month. I almost achieved it, as the final book I was reading was so challenging that I could not help but analysing between pages and lines so it stretched into 2020.

Following are the list of authors along with their books:

  1. Dr Raghuram Rajan - The Third Pillar
  2. Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens, Homo Dues, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century.
  3. Adam Grant - Originals, Give and Take.
  4. Winston Churchil - My early Life.
  5. Hans Rosling - Factfulness.
  6. Cal Newport - Deep Work
  7. Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J Dubner - Freakonomics
  8. Tom Hanks - Uncommon Types
  9. Daniel Pink - Drive

Is there a book, which inspired you?
