Many years back, I visited to a World Book Fair and was absolutely shocked to see that there were millions of books. Two things immediately came to my mind:
- Out of these books, I have not written even one.
- So much of knowledge is out there that in ones life, it is not possible to cover all, so why to waste time.
In short, I gave up reading books which were not required for my academic requirements. Thankfully, in last few years, my daughter has rekindled my reading habits. Last year, I decided to take target of 1 book a month. I almost achieved it, as the final book I was reading was so challenging that I could not help but analysing between pages and lines so it stretched into 2020.
Following are the list of authors along with their books:
- Dr Raghuram Rajan - The Third Pillar
- Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens, Homo Dues, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century.
- Adam Grant - Originals, Give and Take.
- Winston Churchil - My early Life.
- Hans Rosling - Factfulness.
- Cal Newport - Deep Work
- Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J Dubner - Freakonomics
- Tom Hanks - Uncommon Types
- Daniel Pink - Drive
