I take what you have in your current resume and enhance it dramatically, so you get more interviews.?See the 12 things I do to make this happen below.
1.?????I work with my clients to completely redo their resumeS.?First, I create or redo their Professional Summary , so it has your Top 3 Selling Points that align perfectly with the Top 3 Needs for the position.?Then I add an Achievement that proves you can do what you say you can get all the required skills out of the job description you gave me and put them in your Core Skills section in your resume.
2.?????Then, I get all the required skills out of the job description x zzzfor the job your seeking and put them in your Core Skills section in your resume.
3.?????Then I review all your jobs in the Professional Experience section for the below reasons.
a)????Makes sure you have no more than 10 key bullet points in each job.??If you have more than that, it probably won't get read anyway.
b)????I make sure all your bullet points start out with a past tense action verb (standard in today's resumes).
c)?????I work with you to identify a major achievement for each of your jobs (If possible) and bold the significant part of your achievements to make them stand out, so .the reviewer’s eye can’t miss it.
d)????There are 3 types of achievements you can use in your resume’s Professional Summary section and in all your jobs in the Professional Experience section.
e)????The first type of achievement is a Measurable Achievement where you made of saved money for your department or company.
For Example:
Led a team of 10 salesreps and exceeded my sales quota for the past 6 quarter bys an average of 28% per quarter.
Notice how I only bolded the part of the measurable achievement that highlights how much I exceed my quota on average for each of the 6 quarters.?Having an recommendations ?in every job shows you have a consistent track record of achievement, which is wh.at employers are looking for.
For Example?
Won the customer service rep of?the month 6 times in a row for resolving each problem on the first call with no callback and for having a 100% customer satisfaction rating.?Notice how I only bolded the name of the award and how many times?won it!
f)???????The second type of achievement is an award you won.?The third type of achievement is a recommendation you received from your Manager, a C-Level Exec, a customer, a supplier, etc.
A recommendation starts with the title of recommender, and then the compelling quote inside of double quotes. . The entire recommendation should be no longer that 2 lines and it should be inside double quotes

For example:
VP of Business Intelligence at Platinum Technology said, “Larry created the Training Department from scratch and increased our training revenue from $1.2M to $3,2M in 9 months.”
g)????There’s one way you can save your company money that most people miss. This is where you improve a process and that?saves time, which saves money.
Here’s?an example.?An Administrative Assistant started working in a company and had to do a manual process that took 8 hours a week.?She converted it to an Excel Spreadsheet, and it only took 2 hours, saving 6 hours a week.?If you take this 6 hours and multiply it by $20 hourly rate she made, you’d get the amount saved each week.?
Then if you take that weekly savings and multiply it by 52 weeks in a year, that would yield the yearly savings.?I then?asked the Admin Person if any other departments started using her new process and she said yes that 4 other departments used it too.?So now, the annual saving for all 5 departments in a year turned out to be $26,676.
Wow, for an Admin Person, that’s an amazing savings and a measurable accomplishment
h)????I make sure you only have 10 years of work experience max, since that's all employers care about.
4.?????I make sure you don't have graduation dates from your colleges, since that would allow an employer to estimate you age and that could inadvertently trigger age or salary discrimination.
5.?????run the MS Word Spelling and Grammar Checker to fix any possible spelling or grammars.
6.?????I add a section to the end of your resume called Relevant Skills that has all the skills in the Core Skills section above and made it a comma delimited list.?The only purpose of this section is to make sure you have multiple copies of your skills, so you beat the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), so you show up on Page 1 of HR and Recruiters search result when they're trying to find viable candidates for an open position.
7.?????I check your whole resume for the flow and readability of your text to improve it.
8.?????I also make sure that your resume has a modern format and easy to read.
9.?????Finally, I give you 2 job search tutorials.?The first is HOW TO ACE AN INTERVIEW & HOW TO NEGOTIATE YOUR SALARY & BENEFITS & WIN BIG.
10.??Identify and use your 5-7 word BRAND and put it just above your Professional Summary section.?A great brand is powerful and memorable and can easily be passed along to someone like a C-Level Exec who is involved in the hiring decision but can’t attend the interviews.?Most job seekers don’t have BRAND and it hurts them.?You can use your BRAND in your resume, cover letter, business card, LinkedIn profile, and personal or business website to help market yourself to Hiring Managers, HR Staff, and Recruiters.
11.??I make sure the contend of your LinkedIn Profile matches your new resume and is packed with skills/keywords to help you beat the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensures you show up on Page 1 of?HR & Recruiters search results where you have to be to be considered for an interview.?HR & Recruiters constantly tell me that they rarely have to go past Page 1 in their search results to find top candidates to invite in for an interview.
12.??I have a Cover Letter Template that is a fill in the blanks cover letter that produces a high quality, achievement based cover letter.?My template has the fill in the blanks cover letter on Page 1 and page 2 is a sample cover letter produced with the template.
