There are many lessons to be learned from nature.
We have spent the last 12 days on an African Safari in Kenya and have learned many of those lessons first hand.
We started out in Nairobi and took a 10 hour drive to Samburu National Game Preserve.
This is where I was able to see my first lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, warthog and many many other animals.
To be able to see them in the wild was an indescribable experience that can only be experienced in person.
We were able to visit the Samburu Tribe where they sang their customary songs and invited us in their homes to show us how they live.
They taught us how to live off of the land and how they built their customary homes.
We also learned the importance of family and traditions that have been passed down for generations.
We moved onto Ol Pejeta Game Preserve where we saw our first black rhino and white rhinos.
We were able to see a male and female lion during mating season and witnessed a fight between two male lions.
This was something I will never forget as the roar of the lion was so loud and pronounced I can still hear it in my head.
We hopped on a bush plane and made our way down to the Maasai Mara for the grand finally.
We landed on a dirt run way where our guides picked us up in their custom built land cruisers.
Ten minutes later we crossed our first river and witnessed what is known as one of the 7th wonders of the world.
They call it The Great Migration.
Over 2.5 Million wilder beast migrate from the Tanzanian country side to the Kenya country side.
The brown country side appears to be moving with black dots everywhere. These are the wilder beasts for as far as the eye can see.

We were plowing through the animals with our Landcruisers (not actually plowing them ?? just to get them to move so we could get to our base camp.
From there we spent the next 3 days watching river crossings and were able to experience nature at its purest form.
We literally saw the circle of life right in front of us as animals feasted on the plants and each other.
It was a surreal experience and as much as we might not want to see it, it has to happen to complete the circle of life.
We were able to see 10 large cats in one day. This included lions, cheetahs and leopards.
The Mara was full of life and had the most beautiful sunsets we have ever experienced.
The people here honor the wild life and nature and our guides were a wealth of knowledge and answered every question we could possibly come up with.
If you ever have a chance to go on Safari in Africa take it as it is a spiritual moment you will never forget.
I can’t wait to share all of the photos and videos from the trip as they are breath taking.
Here is to our next adventure!
