Feeling Thankful!
First off, a huge thank you to everyone who has subscribed to this newsletter! This is officially our 5th edition and it's been a joy hearing from everyone and getting to engage with you all this way (past editions here).
The best part of operating this roles page for the People Analytics community has been the stories I hear from the community. I am incredibly thankful that I get to hear from you all when someone finds the roles page for the first time, when they share the page with friends and colleagues, and especially thankful when friends find new roles through the page. Thank you again to everyone who has sent notes to the One Model team about the page as those stories are what keeps this page going.
And I'm thankful to be a part of this People Analytics community. It is a joy getting to meet everyone, swapping stories about the field, and sharing in this journey of trying to make the world of work better with a little bit of data.
It's a short Thanksgiving week for a lot of folk here in the United States, so I wanted to get this update of the People Analytics Roles Page published for any job seekers looking for new roles over the holidays, but I'm going to keep this update brief with just a couple community oriented updates (it is Thanksgiving after all!).
And I'll make it up to you next time! I'm planning to wrap the year in the next update with a look back on a year of People Analytics hiring. Will see if we can pull out any trends from the year. So subscribe and come back soon!

Navigating People Analytics Careers - TALREOS

Thank you to Ashish Parulekar for joining us at the last Navigating People Analytics Careers webinar with myself and Deborah M. Weiss of TALREOS. Ashish is the Director of Data Science, Head of Intelligent Talent Acquisition at Amazon and he joined us to give us a peek behind the curtain at one of the world's most fascinating recruiting engines.
Ashish was just brilliant and shared some spectacular advice for job seekers. Whether you're looking to join an incredible team at Amazon, looking at people analytics roles generally, or growing a team, this talk was a fantastic look into excellence in our field.
People Analytics Network Census
If you've followed me for some time you know I get very excited about initiatives that help grow community in the People Analytics space. That's why when Andrew Pitts said he could make this idea come to life I've been beside myself waiting for it to launch.
The People Analytics Network Census is an ambitious project to map the global People Analytics community. It is an active organizational network analysis (survey based ONA) project that will map the influence and trust networks across our space.

Along the way we picked up steam adding in Stephanie Murphy, Ph.D. from the Society for People Analytics and Matthew Diabes, PhD from NYU to add guidance to the project and establish this as not just a vanity project, but a true research project and a project that can help inform and support the community over time.
The survey will open officially next week (December 2nd), but when you get a chance, make sure to sign up for a reminder! By signing up below you'll be emailed your personal link right away when the survey opens.
2025 People Analytics Conference Survey
One final plug this week - the 2nd annual People Analytics Conference Survey by One Model is closing next week (December 6th)! Make sure to share your thoughts on the conference schedule, where you want to go, wish you could go, and any thoughts for organizers in our space.
As a teaser, we're already seeing some pretty strong differences in responses from the 2024 survey. There were some new entrants this year, some hidden gems got discovered, and people are talking. With a few more new PA conferences coming our way in 2025 it's going to be an exciting year for learning and networking in person!
The other addition to the survey this year is that I asked respondents what feedback they want to pass along to conference organizers. There's already a great story coming through that we need to get to the conference organizers and I am looking forward to more feedback, so without putting my finger on the scale... please keep the feedback coming.
Lastly, a big shoutout as always to the Society for People Analytics and the work being done to support meetups. Hopefully not too much of a spoiler, but Meetup attendance jumped dramatically already in the survey results and I think that's in no small part to the SPA Meetup Page. If you haven't found your people locally yet, check out the SPA meetup page when you get a chance and see if there's a city near you.
