The 111th Has a New Webpage!
The 111th has always had a beautiful website. It was custom created by our amazing webmaster. Unfortunately our extremely talented webmaster was recruited by Yahoo!. The website worked flawlessly for awhile but over time we realized that we were unable to make necessary changes to our webpage by ourselves. So instead of hiring a new webmaster, we decided to try and take the project on ourselves.
I am by no means a "webmaster" but I decided to take on the project of creating a website that we could easily design and update ourselves! After doing some research I decided to go with wordpress.org. I purchased a theme called ProPhoto which is optimized for photography websites! Wordpress also creates a mobile site along side of your desktop version, which is perfect for Google's new search engine preferences. Building the webpage turned out to be a surprisingly fun project!
Once the site was completed I decided to leave our current host (Amazon) which I found to be a bit too complicated for me. I signed up with GoDaddy and they made the transition SO EASY! My website was up and running in no time! I am so pleased with how it came out and I hope our clients and friends think it is beautiful and functional is well!
