11 Things I Realized While Lying in Bed With 102 Degrees of Fever

My body was burning like a red-hot iron. I tried to wake up, but the dizziness and pain in my body forced me to stay in bed.

It was Monday. After the weekend, a new day began, but I was feeling lazy.

I realized this was not a dream when the realization dawned upon me. I was burning with fever, and to be exact, it was 102 degrees. Yes, I was officially sick. I sent the manager a picture of the temperature to prove I was taking a day off.

I rarely take a day off, but this was a genuine case. So, I didn’t resist.

There was nothing to do, so I started writing things that came to my mind. They were more like realizations while I felt helpless on the bed, alone.

  1. A healthy life is a blessing.?Of all luxuries in life, a healthy body is the grandest of them all.?Without a healthy body, you cannot move even one step. This gets me thinking. How much do we appreciate the life we have?
  2. Learn to live in the NOW.?When I was sick, the only thing that mattered was health. I was not worried about work, finances, family, or anything else. It made me realize that to live a peaceful life, we all need to live in the moment; instead of clicking selfies,?learn to live the adventure. Create memories with whatever you have. These memories will be a great reminder for your life.
  3. Writing down helps big time.?Even though my body was lazy, my mind was racing a million miles an hour. The only getaway was writing down my thoughts. And when I started writing down thoughts, it felt so good. You can do the same. Grab a pen and pour your thoughts on paper when you feel overwhelmed.
  4. Hard times teach you about good people.?A few of my co-workers messaged me. For the rest, it was a typical day for them. I realized that only a few people would significantly impact our lives. Figure out those people and tell them how much you love them.
  5. Your time on earth is limited.?Stop wasting it on middling stuff. Do what makes you happy. If you love someone, tell them. If you want to pursue a career you love, do it now. Don’t wait for things to happen. You have to make them happen.
  6. Nothing can beat consistency.?During the day, I was constantly connected with my doctor changing medicines and testing what worked. I was consistent. To achieve great things in life, you must stay consistent. Little by little, you will be able to do great overtime.
  7. Make time for rest.?All work and no rest make people sick. Regardless of your passion for work, take some time out to rest. A break helps you rejuvenate. It relaxes your body, and you have time to consider your life’s priorities.
  8. Make clear priorities.?Life is short. You can only do some things. You must prioritize what is important and do that first before moving on to the next thing. Start the business you dream of starting. Quit the job you hate. Fire the friends who drain your energy.
  9. Forgive people.?Don’t keep grudges. You don’t know what people are going through, so stop judging them and forgive them.
  10. It’s a tiny part of your grand life.?Being sick for two days was a tiny part of my grand life.?If I rate my whole life on this event, that would be unfair, right??So, stop treating your failures as something big. You failed. So what. Learn, try again. Fail better this time. Try until you succeed.
  11. Every sunrise brings new hope.?After darkness comes light. Every good day proceeds with a bad day. Nothing in life is permanent. Be ready for everything that life throws at you. Good times will make a good memory, and bad times will become life lessons.

Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months, months into years, and then one day, you realize the angel of death is ready to welcome you into the next world.

Before this happens, you open your eyes to the beautiful world around you each day, ensuring you give your full self to the world. Whether it is time, energy, love, failure, or success. You try, execute, and experiment with everything you can do now.

Don’t leave any regrets in life. Try everything and see what works. Ignore what is not working and stay away from toxic people on your way up.

This thing is good that you believed in your doctor??. People expect that the doctor should give them the only magic pill to recover. Its impossible to treat everyone with one shot.
