11 Health Hacks That Will Change Your Life


Strength Training - Around the age of 30 you start to lose muscle mass. Maintaining and growing muscle will give the support the tendons and ligaments need thus offsetting joint pains. Strength and balance in old age will lessen the chances of an injurious fall. Try it four days a week.


Infrared Sauna -? This can reduce the toxins in your body. There might be a reduction in blood pressure. Another benefit could be a reduction in pain associated with ongoing conditions in the body. Four days a week.


Cold Water Plunge - Can provide greater alertness, stress relief, better sleep, improved blood pressure and cholesterol levels. You might want to start with a cold shower for a minute or two before working up to longer stays in an ice bath.


Sunlight in the Morning - Take a 15 minute walk in the morning with no sunglasses. Help the body to create the vitamin D. Improves sleep patterns. Reduces stress.


Movement After Meals - Move the body, a short walk might be the simplest. When we eat the blood glucose rises. We want this not to sit in one spot, but to have the blood move around and spread the glucose.


Eat Your Protein - Generally, in the course of a day you should intake 1gm per lb of bodyweight. To build muscle you need adequate protein. It is the building blocks for muscle, hormones, cartilage, tendons.


No Seed Oils or Added Sugars - Oils will be high in Omega 6, but the problem is there will not be enough Omega 3 and this can lead to inflammation. A diet high in added sugars has been linked to obesity, diabetes, heart and liver diseases. Good oils to use are olive, avocado and coconut.


Workout With Someone - Much more enjoyable and will keep you accountable. If you are in a relationship with someone working out together will help build that bond.


Sense of Community - Loneliness feeds depression and more, as many found out during the covid pandemic. Whether going to the gym (better) or working out at home you feel that you are part of something that is bigger than just you.


Water With Electrolytes - First thing in the morning as the body is close to dehydration after 7-9 hours of respiration while sleeping. Stress, exercise, illness, temperature can all cause dehydration. Keep refilling with water during the day.
