#10YearChallenge
A wish to see the better you could have sparked the #10yearchallenge.
Every social platform was flooded with pics of 'Then' & 'Now' and in most cases the recent one was far better. It generated a flurry of comics, meme's, cartoons, satires but indeed a lot of participation.
As I sat down one fine day, I found some of my old pictures to see how I have matured over time. As I see myself each day, I observe occurrence of dark circles, cracked lips, hair loss, some weight gain, prominent gray hair and a lot of wrinkles have emerged on my face. I have grown up and matured in those 10 years.
Down the memory lane, it was a time full of fun, friendship, kids, love, family and various other experiences. It was also the period where I was neglected, challenged, disrespected, dropped out, overlooked and my self esteem was impacted. In these testing times, I learnt new things that helped me to leap ahead and bounce back such as perseverance, practice mindfulness, discipline, improve self consciousness, and the determination & hunger for success.
With all that ammunition, I still failed in some of them but managed to complete the rest, which has left a scar on my personality and made me who I am today. Different people who came into my life as friends, colleagues, superiors, neighbors, traveling buddies, mentors, teachers etc. shared their life experiences and gave me valuable lessons. Those teachings, lessons learnt, and salient messages received, I tried to assimilate in my life to make a significant improvement.
It became a decade of transformation for me!
I have learnt from every success and failure, each friend and foe, and with my own slippages and mistakes. This decade has helped me to clear the murkiness of mind, bring focus and make me stronger individual.
