10mins or 45 mins Workout?

You CAN get results from 10 minute workouts!!
Some people just have not got the time to fit a full 45 minute session in - work, family commitments etc. But you MUST fit 10 minutes in - your body needs exercising.
As long as the short sessions are effective so you feel like you have actually worked out after a 10 minute blast its definitely worthwhile. You need to be feeling out of breath and physically worked as you would after a longer session.
Planning is key - at the start of the week - diary when you will do your sessions - write them down and you are more likely to actually complete.
Find an effective workout from someone with experience - a qualified fitness professional. Yes there are lots of ideas online - some may be good but if you want to be sure you are spending what little time you have wisely - may be better to get advice from someone who is qualified.
If you are opting for the 10 min sessions - I would get them in 5 - 6 days per week. I recommend in a morning so it sets you up for the day. Set a timer on your phone and don't get distracted, get in the zone & give it all you've got - its only 10 minutes - you need to really push yourself to do as much as possible in this short time. So ensure you have the techniques correct first, (again this is why speaking to a qualified trainer will be of benefit) - the last thing you want is an injury. The exercises should be basic but effective (Eg. squats, jacks). Once you are performing correct technique (a mirror would be good to check), speed them up so you get more out of it.
As a Personal Trainer & Fitness Class Instructor - I would advise your 10 minute sessions to be either HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) or Circuit style. The workout to include all body parts so you get an overall workout every time.
After your session - within 30 minutes - ensure you have a protein based breakfast / shake. I would always recommend a shake as liquid gets into your system quicker than food so this will help keep your body in the fat burning zone.
Finally - take a start photo so you can check your progress!

Been trying this on a 30 day challenge - 10 minutes hard exercise for every part of my body , then 5 mins stretching back, legs, hip flexor etc. Already I've gone from not being able to touch my toes at all to being able to put my fingers flat on the floor, and my core strength is much improved. Been helped by my micronised purple rice and feel full of energy with this and exercise and no aches or pains! Not bad for my age. Love purple power. ????#thepowerofpurple
