#102 How to Get a Coaching Client in 14 Days: A Proven 5-Step Challenge

I'm celebrating a massive milestone - the 100th episode of my podcast, Women in the Coaching Arena! When I started this journey two years ago, I had no idea it would revolutionise my business. My podcast is now ranked in the top 2.5% podcasts in the world!

I love the Brené Brown quote that inspired my podcast title. She says, "If you're not in the arena getting your ass kicked, I'm not interested in your feedback." When I started my business, I faced jibes about being constantly visible on LinkedIn, popping up in people's feeds all the time. But, if I had let those voices stop me, I wouldn't have a successful business today.

Remember this: you'll never find someone who's ahead of you criticising you. The only people who do that are those too scared to chase their own dreams.

Top Three Lessons from 100 Podcast Episodes

1. Simple Actions Compound Over Time

Just like my podcast, small actions build momentum when done consistently. My numbers were tiny at first but, week after week, they grew. It's easy to feel discouraged after a month or two, but persistence is key. Don't compare yourself to others without considering their full journey - I felt a pang of envy when I compared myself to someone I really admired in the top 1% of the podcast charts, then I realised they had been working at it consistently for seven years and I was just years behind!

2. Mindset and Gratitude as Fuel

You can have the best strategy in the world, but confidence is crucial. I wasn't always super confident, but I've grown through action. Ask yourself, If I believed 100% that I was capable of this, how would I act today?

3. Visibility is Key

The more people who see you, hear you, and learn about what you offer, the faster you'll grow your client base. As one of my mastermind clients brilliantly said, "I already know what's working. Why don't I just do double the amount of that to get double the income?"

The 14-Day Client Challenge: Your Path to Success

Here is my proven 5-step process to help you get a coaching client in just 14 days:

Step 1: Set the Intention

Think beyond just the money goal - what will you do with that money? My best earning came when I visualised buying a new front door. That clear vision and emotional connection drove me to take massive action. What's your equivalent visualisation that will spur you on to get what you really want?

Step 2: Get the Plan Together

Define who you're selling to and what you're offering. Have a clear niche and create a compelling offer with bonuses that encourage immediate action. Set clear deadlines and understand the consequences your potential clients face if they don't get your help.

Step 3: Take Action

This requires more effort than most people expect. Increase your visibility significantly. Maintain consistent, high-volume outreach. Be the most helpful person in Facebook groups. Comment on 50 LinkedIn posts daily. Speak at events. Remember, people need to see your offer around 21 times before buying - one post isn't enough!

Step 4: Close Actively, Not Passively

After you put that offer post out, don't hide away if no-one likes your post or comments on it. Show up time and time again. Prove to those naysayers that you can and you will achieve this. Keep thinking about the objections that your ideal clients have for not moving forward. Handle those objections in all the content that you publish and email.

Step 5: Receive and Celebrate

Allow yourself some time at the end of the 14-day challenge to relax, to switch off, to tune into you, to get out there in nature, meditate, exercise, whatever is your thing. Celebrate the work you have put in - this is about your effort, whatever the results. The more you celebrate your actions and the work you do, the more you will be motivated to do more of that work, and the more likely you will be to get results.
