The 10/10 ranking Content Creators Hate To See

When you put your heart and soul into a project. Blood, sweat, and tears. When you finally get the results of all of your hard work and see a 10/10, usually you would be ecstatic.?
However, that is not the case for YouTubers. Who see a 10/10 ranking and realize how far away from their goal they actually are.
For those who do not know, YouTube has a system that ranks your most recent video/short posts by the number of views within a specific period. This can be found in the analytics tab when you are customizing your channel.?
As you can see from this image, a recent video I have posted where I advised upcoming content creators within the college space, did not perform well. The “10 of 10” ranking shows that out of the last 10 long-form videos I have posted, this video has performed the worst. As you can also see it has a lower than average view count, like count, and below average percentage viewed once having seen the thumbnail.
This displays that many people saw my video on their homepage, subscriptions page, etc., and chose not to watch it and/or decided to watch something else.?

As a content creator, these analytics results are never fun to look at. For a short period, it felt that all of the hard work I spent recording, editing, and syncing audio was a waste.?
However, that is a negative mindset that will never allow me to grow or improve on my skill set and production.
Once I initially frown upon the results and say the usual, “Ah dangit,” I transition from this negative situation into a positive one and assimilate to a glass-half-full mindset. I think of this as a growing experience, something that shows I still have a lot of work left to put in.
Yes, this video performed poorly, but this can show me what skills or topics I need to focus on to create more engaging content and media. YouTube has a variety of statistics that can provide me with valuable information on what I can improve on. I am now motivated to make the next video much better than the last in every aspect.
?I am now more motivated than ever to get that “1 of 10” ranking.?
