Advancing the future of civilizations while empowering the workforce for tomorrow.
In a world of webcams, YouTube channels, and Internet connections, each person today has an opportunity to become a teacher.
That doesn't mean they know how to make learning stick.
I believe the difference in what gives some companies the competitive advantage with their training and development department over others is the speed in executing tasks that answer the right questions together as a team.
If your value proposition is saving a participant transportation time to a training facility to deliver six hours of continuing education a day on Zoom, your competitors who focus on learning performance are going to crush you in the marketplace in generations to come.
The Next Generation of Leaders
When I started the YouTube channel for Harry a year ago, I didn't realize how many learning and development professionals still use a basic webcam and screen share today. This might seem cutting edge to some. It's a recipe for Zoom fatigue since it's not going to keep someone's attention since our expectations with how we consume content has changed.
The Association for Talent Development invited us to speak at their Annual Techknowledge conference with represents the global leaders in education technology for enterprise business and secondary education learning institutions. Our session What They Don't Teach You in Kindergarten represents the possibilities to which students can embrace technology, play their favorite games, and become the teacher to lead what outcome they wish to inspire. Kids love to learn when they play. It's time the adults do too.
Screen to Screen Selling? , virtual training, and remote work is the new norm today. Not only do you have to create the training, but you also have to sell the training, get participants to take the training, implement ideas from the training, and demonstrate a result from the training. There are greater demands on learning performance because speed to create quality training is the differentiator, not just participant value.
