From Greek philosophy to Greek cinema: the art of storytelling.?
Dogtooth is a psychological thriller-drama following a controlling, manipulative father who, with the help of his wife, keeps his three children (an adult boy and two teenage girls) locked at home (an isolated compound surrounded by a high wall and a gate). This is a study of nature versus nurture, a satire on the human experience, blind obedience, education and influence. Just like that of Plato's allegory of the cave, it examines the effect of knowledge and the lack of it on our lives and mindsets.?
Before his English language debut feature "The Lobster", Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos crafted this bizarre masterpiece that would challenge, enhance your mindset from a cinematic and from a psychological perspectives.?
The film's thought-provoking narrative and unique tone keep you in a state of awe from the first seconds until the ending credits.?
Dogtooth is an essential surreal and original cinematic experience from world cinema not to be missed.?
