When @MarjiJSherman tweeted Would You Rather Have 100K Followers, Or 100K Conversations? I immediately jumped and said, conversations. It seems that we live in a world of number-lust. Maybe today's consumerism translates into our social media lives as well. The more we have the better we are off; but what are we loosing out on in the process?
I do think having 100K followers is an achievement, but I'd rather not sacrifice quality over quantity. This brings me back to the original question between followers and meaningful conversation. Can you have over 100K followers and engage them in a meaningful conversation at the same time? Some might argue, that is impossible. Others might say, difficult but doable.
The implications are tremendous, if you consider the scale on which one person can facilitate change through conversation. We must bring back the art of conversation, the art of listening and the art of reasoning.
With the words of @MarjiJSherman; Would You Rather Have 100K Followers, Or 100K Conversations?
Let me know your thoughts on this. In the meantime if you'd like to follow me and engage in meaningful conversations please do @Schonwaldlegal.

10 年Conversations... and yes, what is considered meaningful? if it has an impact? if it helps others? I've been reading a great twitter book called the Tao of Twitter by Mark Schaeffer - easy read, good information.
