WEEKLY ROUNDUP OF ETF FILINGS, LAUNCHES & CLOSURES

Firms launched more than 20 exchange-traded funds last week to round out the third quarter of 2023. Dimensional Fund Advisors launched a stock fund with exposure to over 10,000 stocks and a short-term-focused bond fund, both actively managed.

Also on the actively-managed front, JPMorgan Chase & Co. launched a new stock and options ETF from the same portfolio manager that created the JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF (JEPI) , now the largest actively managed ETF.

BlackRock Inc. launched a similar fund to JEPI last week as well, joining Goldman Sachs’s launch earlier this year in attempting to get in on the considerable assets that have flowed to the actively managed options ETF space this year.

As the fourth quarter begins this week, the best performing ETF of the third quarter was the Simplify Interest Rate Hedge ETF (PFIX) , which uses derivatives to hedge against rising long-term interest rates.
