For all my Federal and Military Friends, the CFC Campaign kicked off September 1 and I wanted to introduce you to a new local charity.?? 1000 in Action??
You Can Be The Face of Change for Ending Child Abuse in Cascade and adjacent counties by giving to 1000 In Action through the CFC. Our designation number is #26556.?
The concept for 1000 in Action was formed in response to continuing cases of child abuse in Cascade County and the surrounding counties. It was created as a 501(c)3 organization by a group of mothers who were heartbroken over these occurrences and sought to do something to help curb, and hopefully eliminate, this problem. Recognizing there are already many valuable non-profit organizations in our area that provide programs and services related to this cause (i.e., The Dandelion Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Cascade County, YWCA, Toby’s House, etc.), our focus is to provide funding support for these types of organizations.?
Our vision is to create a partnership of at least 1000 individuals/businesses in our area willing to commit to an annual contribution of $100, for a total of at least $100,000. These funds will be used to fund local, non-profit organizations that directly provide programs and services to help eliminate the problem of child abuse. Our goal is to keep the overhead of our foundation extremely low in order that nearly all funds raised will be distributed to the organizations.
