100% Salary Hike - A Trap or an Opportunity?


Increments are a celebration, right? The icing on the cake is a higher pay raise!!

However, is a higher hike an opportunity or you are trapped by companies??

Let's dive deep!!!

?? "While having a conversation with one of my friends Mihir, I got to know that he frequently used to change his employment. I asked him the reason behind doing so."
?? "To which he replied, “Salary Hike.” I work in an organization for a few months or a year, and I change as and when I get a good salary hike."
?? "Hearing this I questioned, “Is it only the salary you are working for? Skill and personality growth do not have any importance?”


To the readers, What do you think? Is salary only the important thing??

If you are looking for a 50-100% salary hike because your friends or colleagues have it, or you have an offer that is hiring you on higher pay, it's high time you rethink your decision.?

You might be offered such a higher raise because the company has no other option than you.

Or you might be trapped in the scale of growth that can sustain for 6 months or a year.?

Just Think!! Are these reasons appropriate for providing you with a higher raise??

Are you growing with the increasing salary package??

Getting a higher package is good but not at the cost of your growth.?

A company is offering you a higher salary hike. Fair enough!! But at least look for the growth you want. Compromising your skill growth just for the sake of a good salary. You are just playing with your career.?

Stay in the company where you see the growth in your skills, in your knowledge, and most important in you as an individual, not your salary.?

Of course, everybody deserves a luxurious living. But one needs to make efforts to earn that.?

A company offering you a higher raise based on your experience with multiple companies. However, it may give you luxuries for a smaller period. But a company offering you knowledge, skills, and career growth may give you luxuries that would last longer.

Think twice before you change your employment for the sake of money!!
