**100 KILOMETERS **24 HOURS** VOICES FOR CHILDREN

There is a charity called Voices of Children Foundation (Voices). I wouldn’t have heard of them were it not for my friend Adam.?Voices are helping Ukrainian children and their parents suffering from the psychological trauma of war.?They’re doing this now and unfortunately they’re work will be needed for some time to come.

I’ve seen some of the paintings the children have made with Voices as part of their artistic therapy. ?One is of rockets storming over an otherwise beautiful town.?Another is of just a black, scarred landscape.?Anyone knows how horrible it is that a child holds those images in their head. I think the work Voices are doing to help the children understand and live with their pain is a brilliant thing.

My mate Adam Luszniak , being a Luszniak, is of Ukranian descent.?He has family in Lviv now who spend their evenings in a basement, as air-raid sirens blast outside for hours.?Like a lot of us, Adam lives a decent life here in England, and also like a lot of us, he desperately wanted to help Ukraine but didn’t know how.?He and Megan Devenish found a charity doing brilliant, important work, and checked that it is well-rated in terms of financial transparency.?He wants to raise ￡10K for them by walking 100km in one go, in less than 24-hours – he understandably wants to feel some discomfort for the cause.?His wife, some good friends and I will be walking with him this coming September 10th.

The request… please help us, help Voices.?Any money donated will go straight to them (we’ve all paid our own ￡200 event fees), and I’m assured that the charity does a good job of putting the money where it needs to go.
