COO, Former CEO, Founder, Board Member | Exec Coach | Investor | Strategy Consultant | ex-frog
For the past 12 months, I've been collecting and bookmarking top fundraising and development resources for Black, Latinx, and women founders that could help my mentees and clients.
I had not spent time to compile and publish the list in a public post until I was inspired to do so by a Techstars mentee.
It has now turned into somewhat of a passion project in support of my daughter, and I continue to add resources as I become aware of them (see Change Log at the end of the article and Like the article to receive updates that I will post on occasion).
The resources in this article will help you to:
?? Find investors who invest in underrepresented founders
?? Build your network of other founders and community leaders
?? Learn about fundraising and scaling your startup
?? Support other Black, Latinx, and women creatives and engineers by hiring for their team
?? Create investment community awareness
So here it is. Don't start from scratch.
The list includes:
? 25+ Investor databases, lists, and leads
? 700+ of the most influential people
? 30+ Organizations actively supporting diversity in the tech industry
? 80+ Communities, networks, education, and fellowship programs
? 20+ Organizations supporting the next generation
? 10+ Job and recruiting marketplaces
? 60+ Sources of data, news, insights, and opinion
? PR and Marketing Opportunities
? Special Offers
Please keep in mind that this list is:
- Not collectively exhaustive.
- Not intended to be a ranking.
- A living document that I will update on an ongoing basis (see Change Log at the end of the article and Like the article to receive updates).
Suggestions are welcome! If you have a resource or topic that you think should be added, please let me know in the comments. And, if you like this resource guide, please feel free to share it with your network.
Finally, if you'd like to hear from me with regular irregularity with additional founder toolkit resources as well as about trends, news, resources, and opinions on startup strategy, operations, and leadership, you can
