+100 foreign VCs that invested in Polish startups

Polish startup ecosystem had spectacular growth in the last 3 years – since 2018 invested capital by VCs into Polish startups has grown over 22 times-fold (you can read more in my post here )

But what’s equally important, more and more foreign VCs are investing into Polish startups. Its significant, since foreign investors help their portfolio companies in internationalization (especially to domestic markets of given VC), provide recognition on new markets thanks to their brand, bring insights and much wider network, provide much larger financing necessary for rapid growth, help with next rounds and increase probability of an exit. ??

I have mapped +140 foreign VCs that so far have invested into Polish startups (just in 2021 we saw 51 foreign VCs investing into 60 Polish startups, comparing to 16 foreign VCs conducting 19 investmetns in 2020). a few words about myself:

• i'm currently a member of the Warsaw Equity Group fund ($150M AUM)
• i co-managed three VC funds: Skyline Venture, bValue Bridge and bValue Starter (as managing partner and senior partner) with a total AUM $35M
• i was a board member of the Skyline Investment S.A. - investment boutique listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (during that time company invesated over $20M and completed consulting projects worth +$200M)
• so far i have invested in +50 projects and completed +20 exits
• i was a member of the management board and a member of the supervisory board in +30 companies (including two listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange)
