10 Years in Tampa Bay

This week has me feeling real nostalgic. With #SuperBowlLV being in #TampaBay it really got me thinking about my time here, and I realized that coming up in October I will have been here for 10 years. All because of the Super Bowl.

10 years ago I was finishing internships out of college in the NFL with a short stint at Florida Atlantic University. I then received my first real job at IRONMAN bringing me to Tampa Bay after making a connection while working Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. When I think back at those times I realize how pivotal those roles were for me and how influential the people were that I met.

At Green Bay I learned from one of the best what it took to be a female in a male dominated industry, to hold my own and be confident in what I knew but also learn as I go. In Cleveland, I quickly learned what it meant to grind. Waking up at 4am to get stats done before coaches were at the office, and the importance of giving back to the community you’re in. At SBXLVI, I learned that hard work, flexibility and being friendly can create meaningful relationships that can help you through life.

This time in the NFL definitely set the precedent for the employee, coworker, friend and community member I am today. I hope I’ve been able to show this to the Tampa Bay community by setting a good example, teaching others and giving back to the cities I’ve lived in the past 10 years to make a meaningful difference.

I’m thankful for the opportunities I have received by living in Tampa Bay, and proud of what our community has achieved over the years. I am excited for the rest of the nation and world to see what we are all about and why it’s so special here.
