10 years OFF Hangovers!

Something pretty monumental happened to me at the weekend.

I went out out.

Like properly out out.

In high heels and a taxi.

It's the first time I've been out for no reason other than to have fun with a friend in 9 years and 10 months. Yes folks. I've had almost 10 years entirely free of hangovers.

I know precisely when my last one was, as it was after a friend's wedding in October 2012. I was pregnant a couple of months later and I think I've mentioned how badly my kids slept. The idea of having a hangover at 4 in the morning, which was often the start time my kids favoured, really wasn't appealing, so I just stopped drinking.?

I'm delighted to report that my friend and I had such a fun time. It was lovely to be back in my old stomping ground where I used to go out with my training cohort. It brought back wonderfully fond memories whilst I made new ones!?

Some other pretty monumental things are going to be happening this week too:?

1) I've been booked by BBC Radio Berkshire to talk..... about me......and my podcast! It's the first time I've been booked to just talk about myself and what I do, so it feels like a pretty big deal. If you're free at Wednesday lunchtime, tune in.?

2) The Doctorate applications for Clinical Psychology Courses (DClinPsy) open up again on the 1st of September. Now that's also kind of a big deal! That's the topic of this week's episode of the Aspiring Psychologist Podcast. You can listen to episode 38?here.?You can listen by clicking the link, or via Spotify, Amazon, Google or Apple. I hope you find it helpful. I'd welcome any feedback you have. You can also check it out on my newly revamped YouTube channel?here.?

3) I'm doing a Live Compassionate Q&A on 1/09/2022 at 7:30pm to support Psychology application season. Please mention to anyone you know who might find it useful.??It's across all of my socials (apart from tikTok) so pick your favourite channel by using the LinkTreet link at the bottom of this email.?

4) The Aspiring Psychologist Membership opens for 15 more members on 2/09/2022 at 8am - but only for people registered on the waiting list. For more info or to grab your space on the list click?here.??

Thanks as ever for being part of my world. Take care of you!
