10 Years at Forrester - My Thoughts

I'm not normally one for public outpourings and I haven't been asked to write this, but in July I celebrated an important 10-year anniversary. It’s a major milestone, a big achievement, so much has changed for me..... Marriage, a Cat, Two Children, Golf Handicap has got worse but Gardening Skills much better.

People always ask me, what has kept me at Forrester this long? So I thought id share some of my own thoughts:

Intellectual stimulation – I am in such a lucky position that I am surrounded by so many smart people who I have learnt and continue to learn from - both within Forrester - who luckily kind of have to talk to me…. but also my clients and prospects ?– who I hope want to talk to me ??

Impact - For me, the older I have got, the more I have realised that time is the most important commodity, so I get a great reward both personally and professionally if I am able to help just a little bit to uncover a solution for a clients pressing challenge and get to a resolution easier, faster and hopefully saving or even better generating money for them – its such a rewarding thing to play a small part in helping people and that really is what i love doing.

Culture: Everyone who works here is really approachable, kind and willing to help out from top to bottom of the company, it’s a very open culture where ideas, jokes, feedback, stories are shared all the time. We are like one big family - of course there is always ups and downs - that's life, but I can tell you personally there are so many ups and the Grass is much Greener here!

There are so many people to thank, but I really appreciate Lena Davies and Stephen Arnison hiring me all these years ago in 2014 and Sandra Deuschle & Erna Begic my current managers for all their continued help and support.
