10 Weeks and 1 Day: A Quick Reflection

10 Weeks and 1 Day: A Quick Reflection

Time flies! I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my first few weeks in business (Still wrapping my head around the fact that I’m officially running my own business!) Kinda mad.

The First Month: What a start! Hit the ground running, building a strong foundation right from the get-go. Then, month two rolled in, and with it, a serious case of imposter syndrome (mother ******).

Proper rollercoaster - offer rejections, roles pulled, you name it - But that’s all part of the excitement though, right?

Weirdly though, I’ve loved every single second. A journey filled with a lot of excitement, and a lot of growth. Still at 100mph balancing the demands of building a business, being a dad, and planning my wedding in just seven weeks. If you know me, you know I don’t do things halfway.

There’s been plenty of progress too: new clients, multiple placements, and I’m really excited to announce that my website is launching this week—finally! Huge thanks to Steve Jonk, I know I’ve not been the easiest client. The brand is starting to feel really, real.

My takeaways from the first few couple of weeks?

  • Your family and friends are your biggest support system—lean on them.
  • Embrace the challenge—that’s where the real growth happens.
  • Don’t be afraid to fail; in fact, I encourage it.
  • Take a breather. I need to manage my time better—it’s tough when you love what you do, but I’m open to tips!
  • Be yourself, always. Authenticity speaks volumes.
  • In a service-based industry, quality always comes first.
  • It’s not all about making money—it’s okay to help others; it all comes back around.
  • Keep your eyes on the end goal. Focus on the bigger picture.

It’s been fun so far. More to come. Now, back to it !! ??

Stay tuned for more very average content.

Ta very much.
