10 Ways to be Amazing before 9 am

10 Ways to be Amazing before 9 am

Are you ready to be amazing every day? How about before 9am?

I have found through detailed research, experiential application and detailed analysis, that it all starts in the first hour of your day. In that critical first 60 minutes, you can change your entire life and start to become amazing every day. You will routinely get yourself into a peak or heightened state of mind. The change in mind-set means you operate from that state for the remainder of your day. For me, that’s what living in a peak-state is all about. It makes so much extra space in your day and a feeling that the World is moving slowly. You will start to anticipate events and become more proactive.

The good news is that every morning, you can put yourself into a zone (or flow) where you can begin to see incredible opportunities and sample unique experiences. The paradigm shift comes from your emotional and physiology changes. Take a new vantage point and see the World differently. When you act from your desired goal— you see things you couldn’t see before. Everything becomes clearer and you can act far more powerfully and intelligently.

My plan is a simple way to put yourself into a peak-state every single day. The joy is that you can start right and decide to change in a nanosecond.

The Winning Formula:

·     Success starts the night before (30 minutes – see below)

·     Have a higher quality of sleep for 7 (+/- 1) hours

·     Wake up immediately when you said you would

·     Have a large glass of filtered water when you awake

·     Get into a new environment (move out of the bedroom)

·     Use the Quick Meditation Methods for 3 minutes (eyes closed) – [Slow Rhythmic and Even (SRE) and do not hold the breath]

·     Read my Rules for Being Amazing Every Day card (to snap out of RAS [reticular activation state] trance

·     Listen to high-quality information pod casts or inspirational music while you exercise (20–40 minutes)

·     Work on a creative projects and plans while in this peak-state (30 minutes)

·     Repeat every day - your discipline and start to be amazing every day

With my special morning routine, you enhance your emotional-state in multiple ways. You act intentionally and powerfully, which immediately shifts your emotional state. You also take the time to visualise and emotionally link to the here as now. You will act and feel more powerfully and be more confident of taking massive action.

Setting yourself up for success the night before is the first element to nail. Stressful activities have no place before your bedtime and beginning of excellent sleep.

·     Avoid looking at your iPad / phone / computer / TV screens for an hour before sleep

·     Put your phone on airplane mode and make it a dark room – warm but not too hot.

·     Allow yourself to psychologically detach from work — which means you stop thinking about it and trying to solve things.

·     Write down 3 things you are grateful for and programme you brain by writing down one (better) question.

The next command is to wake up immediately when you said you would – and get out of bed. No turning over and have a snooze. There is no doubt that increasing confidence is a by-product of doing what you say you will do. Discipline is what you do when no-one is watching. If you don’t trust yourself, you can’t have confidence. Confidence is something that has to be earned every single day. The first decision you make, the one to wake up, starts your momentum in either a positive or negative direction. Discipline starts with deciding to change now.

The next step is to drink you water and get into a new room or environment. Research has shown that caffeine use is due, in large part, to the industrial model of working from 9–5. It’s also clearly due to people’s poor sleeping and technology habits. Don’t start your day with caffeine if you can – save it for a natural dip in the hormone cortisol around 9.30 am.

By changing your space, you get yourself moving and going. Change the state by moving is at the heart of this change. Even if that’s just outside or a new room. Shifting environments shifts your energy. When you get up and immediately change your environment, you will boost your energy levels.

Now you can do my quick start 3 minute meditation. That’s right 3 minutes, eyes closed. Breath through the mouth or nose – it really does not matter. Slow, rhythmic and even breathing. Avoid holding your breath at any point. Then, when you open your eyes, read the BAED Card.

Next workout in the morning, whether that means walking or going to the gym or stay at home and do a row, do some yoga, sit-ups or press ups. Grab yourself a pair of blue-tooth cordless headphones noise cancelling headphones (I use the latest Bose).

Now you can smash the day while everyone else is in a daze. If you want to become successful, you must create success. Wealth is not something you earn, it’s something you create. And you can create success every single day. You can get into a creative state and produce incredible works.

Get your most important stuff done first. Or else, as you’ve seen before, it likely won’t get done.

Want to live in a peak state and be amazing every day?

Then produce amazing mornings and have the discipline every day to follow the formula.

I particularly like the part in #4 about avoiding caffeine for at least an hour and a half after waking... yeah, that’s going to happen!
