10 Twitter Accounts For Entrepreneurs To Follow

If you’re looking for inspiration, and more inspiration, then social media is a gold mine. You can learn a lot from the following entrepreneurs who have been successful in their field. These people have probably learned from their own mistakes and successes, so they’ve already taken the time to research things that worked for them and didn’t work for them as well.

If you want to stay on top of what some successful entrepreneurs are doing and thinking, follow them on twitter. Here are ten of my favourite entrepreneurs:

1.?Naval Ravikant (TW: @naval)

  • Naval Ravikant is the founder of?AngelList, an online platform for start-ups to raise capital. He is also an investor and entrepreneur.
  • His tweets are usually interesting and thought-provoking.?He has over 100k followers—his feed can serve as a good example of what a real Twitter account should look like.
  • Naval tweets about more than just money and business; he also discusses his outlook on happiness and life. On his Twitter profile, he has posted the viral?“How to Get Rich (without getting lucky)”?tweetstorm, which has received over?160,000 likes?so far.
  • The Almanack of Naval Ravikant?by?Eric Jorgenson?is an excellent book that compiles and elaborates on a significant number of his greatest tweets.

2.?Guy Kawasaki (TW: @GuyKawasaki)

  • Guy Kawasaki is one of the most famous entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in the world. He’s also an author and a keynote speaker, who’s given talks such as?“The Art of Social Media.”
  • In addition to his books?Enchantment?and?The Art of Social Media, he helped start?Alltop?(a site that aggregates news from across the web), which was acquired by?AOL.?
  • Kawasaki posts daily tips on Twitter about everything from technology to business advice—and even occasional photos of puppies!
  • Kawasaki, who has more than?1.4 million Twitter followers, keeps his audience interested by tweeting frequently about business, marketing, his favourite tools and hacks, and his opinion on current events.

3.?Richard Branson (TW: @richardbranson)

  • Richard Branson is an entrepreneur and billionaire who has built a multi-billion-dollar company,?Virgin Group. He has a huge following on Twitter and you can learn a lot from his tweets about business and life in general.
  • The first thing that comes to mind when you think about Richard Branson is probably his company, Virgin. But the man himself was actually born in Surrey, England to parents who were both pilots for British Airways at the time!
  • In addition to founding Virgin Group (the largest independent record label), he also founded many other companies including: Virgin Trains; Virgin Galactic; V2 Records; V Festival; Virgin Mobile USA; Mirabelle Hotel & Spa on Necker Island in the Caribbean.
  • With more than?12.7 million followers, Branson maintains an active Twitter account. Branson tweets about his most recent business initiatives and trips, as well as a many of inspirational information, his opinions on current affairs, and his views on a variety of subjects, including entrepreneurship, nature, and sports.

4.?Sophia Amoruso (TW: @sophiaamoruso)

  • Sophia Amoruso is the founder of?Nasty Gal, a vintage clothing website and retail store. She’s also a writer, speaker and media personality.
  • She’s a great example of someone who has built a successful business by being open and honest about what she does — even if that means sharing personal struggles with the world. She’s also not afraid to call out those who don’t live up to her standards or deserve criticism if they do wrong by her community (or their customers).
  • Nasty Gal, an American company that specialized in clothing for young women, was founded and owned by Sophia Amoruso. Her autobiography?#GIRLBOSS?is also a New York Times best-seller.?Netflix turned the book into a television series.
  • Amoruso shares her most recent work at Girlboss Media, business advice for female entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs, motivational tweets and quotations, and other content with her almost?100,000 Twitter followers.

5.?Tony Robbins (TW: @TonyRobbins)

  • Tony Robbins is a self-help author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and motivational speaker. He’s known for his books?Personal Power and Money: Master the Game.
  • Robbins has written several books on personal development and financial planning. He also creates seminars around the world that are attended by millions of people every year because of their impactful content.
  • A well-known life coach, businessman, philanthropist, and author, Tony Robbins also writes. His motivational seminars, addresses, and self-help books, including Awaken the Giant Within, Unlimited Power, and his most recent book Unshakeable, are what he is best known for.
  • Robbins has more than?3 million followers on Twitter, where he stays active by tweeting excerpts from his talks and seminars, inspirational quotes, and links to his most recent podcasts, videos, and blog articles.

6.?Mark Cuban (TW: @mcuban)

  • He’s a billionaire and invested in many companies, including?Google?and?Apple.
  • He has an MBA from Indiana University, where he was the recipient of both the “Outstanding Undergraduate Award for Finance” and “Outstanding Graduate Award for Entrepreneurship.”

?????????????The Dallas Mavericks of the NBA are owned by Mark Cuban, a seasoned businessman and investor.

  • Additionally, he participates as a panellist and an investor in the reality TV programme?Shark Tank?, where prospective business owners present their ideas in an effort to secure funding from one of the?“sharks.”
  • Cuban has more than?8.8 million Twitter followers, and he engages them by posting business tips, commentary on current affairs, motivational quotes, and, of course, information about Shark Tank and the Dallas Mavericks.

7.?Bill Gates (TW: @BillGates)

  • Bill Gates is the founder of?Microsoft?and a philanthropist, who has given away?$28 billion?of his fortune since he began making money.
  • The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation focuses on improving global health in developing countries. You might have heard about it from time to time—for example, when they announced their goal to eradicate polio by 2020.
  • Bill is also known for his generosity:?he has donated more than $5 million dollars to his alma mater Harvard University and gave away more than 1/3rd of his Microsoft stock when he retired from the company in 2000 – which was worth $13 billion at the time!

8.??Pat Flynn (TW: @PatFlynn)

  • Pat Flynn is a serial entrepreneur who has launched several successful businesses. In addition to his podcast,?Smart Passive Income, and books like?Will It Fly?, Pat also runs a YouTube channel for sharing tips on how to build your own successful business.
  • If you’re looking to learn more about entrepreneurship, this is one Twitter account that you should definitely follow!
  • He tweets?blogging advice, motivational quotations, and links?to his most recent podcast episodes where he interviews business leaders like Tim Ferriss, Ramit Sethi, Amy Porterfield, and Gary Vaynerchuk. He has more than?165,000 followers on Twitter.

9.??Reid Hoffman (TW: @reidhoffman)

  • If you’re wondering who is the genius responsible for?LinkedIn, the answer is Reid Hoffman. He’s also a successful venture capitalist and angel investor. His tweets are well-written, insightful and often inspirational.

  • Hoffman frequently tweets about business, politics, and investing. He also occasionally provides business insights, his opinion on the news, and motivational quotes.

  • Arianna Huffington is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of?The Huffington Post. She is also a Greek American author, syndicated columnist and businesswoman.
  • She has won numerous awards for her work, including being named one of Time magazine’s?“100 Most Influential People” in both 2007 and 2008.
  • She wrote the New York Times bestselling book?Thrive in 2014?and makes a strong argument for living a successful life that is judged not only by wealth and power but also by happiness, knowledge, and compassion.
  • Her current focus is on Thrive Global, a new business venture whose goal is to eradicate stress and burnout.
  • With nearly 3 million followers on Twitter, Huffington has a sizable fan base. She tweets frequently on current events, the value of health and sleep, links to her most recent articles, inspirational sayings, and her most recent position at Thrive Global.
