- Ensure clear instructions for joining - make it as easy as possible for people to make the call
- Know how to use the software - there’s nothing more awkward than you struggling to screen share or your next call joining early and interrupting your close
- Ensure reliable internet connection- test it beforehand and look to change providers if you are consistently experiencing interruptions: it can be really disruptive and easily cost you a sale...
- If the connection is poor, turn off video - zoom prioritises video at the expense of sound. If your connection is struggling, switch off your camera.
- Check your audio preferences - if the audio connection isn't great or you struggle to hear one another, it can get very frustrating and waste valuable time.
- Wear what you would for a face to face call - it helps you get in the right frame of mind and keeps your standards in check.
