10 Tips to for Sequencing Success

?? We're knee-deep into Q1, and the hustle is real! The success of this quarter depends on the strategic moves you make in the next couple of weeks! ????

Sequencing is a powerhouse for reaching out to prospects and customers, but come on, you lazy sods! It doesn't replace personalization - that's where things might have gone wrong. ????

In a world of instant everything - Netflix, Uber Eats, click your fingers, and it's there - sequencing is different. It's about nurturing relationships! So, buckle up as we explore 10 ways to sequence for success. ??????


  1. I've just touched on this, personalisation is key. Use Linkedin Sales Navigator Premium to uncover whats happening in the business, key insights. Use IBIS World to uncover deep industry research, especially helpful if you are in verticals or are trying to double down one a couple of different industries.
  2. 47% of email recipients open emails based on the subject line alone. Keep your subject lines engaging, curiosity-provoking, and personal!
  3. Remember, 43% of people are opening your emails up on smartphone. Test the email on yourself, would you read it?
  4. Do not put the word "free" in your sequences it is more than 14% more likely to end up in the spam folder!
  5. Include your personal meeting link on the 2nd of 3rd template, include video, Linkedin voice note, DO NOT just do the boring, email, phone, email, phone, fu email, close. BORINGGGG
  6. If you want to use chat GPT to help you build sequences go for it, but learn how to prompt first aka who's the ICP, Why you are reaching out, case study example etc etc
  7. 96% of prospects do their own research before speaking with a human sales rep (HubSpot)
  8. When you are building sequences think of the following; determine the purpose, identify the enrolment criteria and analyse your data!
  9. How long should it be? I hear this all the time. The answer is: It depends on the size of the business you're reaching out to. For an SMB, 5-8 touch-points can last over 30 days. Whereas, if you're reaching out to enterprise prospects, sequences are usually comprised of 10 to 18 steps over the course of 30-60 days
  10. Finally remember to do these things during your sequencing, educate them along their path to purchase. Handle any objections they have along the way. Establish your authority and credibility in the industry (and thus make you their provider of choice when they're ready to buy).Keep you top-of-mind until they're ready to buy.
