I was reporting to jail in the midst of absolute turmoil in my life. Scared. Hopeless. Defeated. I was blaming others, feeling sorry for myself and uncertain of how many more years of this I could take. If you have or are in a similar place, I've been there and i get it....
But...that was then and this is now and I wanted to share with you my top 13 lessons learned in the last 8 years. Hopefully you can relate to them even if are not battling something...
- Put God First and learn to surrender
- Let go of your Ego and learn to be humble
- Don't run from your problems. You can live life changing places, jobs etc., but at the end of the day you still have to deal with YOU
- Take responsibility for your actions
- Surround yourself with assets and not liabilities
- Take care of your body
- Read more
- Live on a budget
- Make your bed first thing
- Chase the heart for relationships and not beauty....beauty fades, but the heart will forever be strong
- Write down one thing you are grateful for each day.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help
- Serve more and make helping others a priority
