10 Things I've Learned Coaching Over 1,200 Executives…

  1. 1. Having a clear structure for the week removes the guesswork and allows you to focus on the daily implementation
  2. 2. You can maintain progress on 1/3rd the work. During a busy work/travel period aim to keep at least 1/3rd in. Avoid going to 0. Momentum is key.
  3. 3. You don't need to change your family meal or eat separately. The work is done during the day and by avoiding junk from 7-10pm.
  4. 4. There is never a perfect time and the work is never done. Executives who get & stay healthy simply have different priorities not an easier or quieter lifestyle.
  5. 5. Accountability is the most important factor in helping someone get and stay consistent. This by default means the relationship with the coach is fundamental to success.
  6. 6. Keeping things as simple as possible drives consistency. Consistency drives results.
  7. 7. Sleep is more important than 99% of people think. And most do not get enough.
  8. 8. Which diet you choose truly does not matter. What does matter is controlling calories, getting enough protein and getting enough fibre. There are an unlimited number of combinations on this.
  9. 9. Walking 3x per day for 10-15 minutes can be life changing.
  10. 10. Being a generalist when it comes to health is an advantage. Someone who is strong, fit, flexible and stable is going to have the ability to live a very high quality life

From our Head Coach James Collington

Never underestimate the importance of : Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis ( NEAT)

In simple terms it’s the amount of calories you burn during the day being physically active that isn’t classed as conscious exercise.

NEAT is hugely under-utilised when it comes to calorie expenditure: a large amount of us will go to the gym for an hour, think we burn off a large amount of calories ( this is usually less than we think) and then come home and do very little for the rest of the day.

However, f you can stay more active during the day, even at a lower intensity and pace than whilst exercising this will have a massive benefit to your overall total daily energy expenditure.

So :

  • Start walking to work
  • Walk your kids to school
  • Park further away from the shops in the car park
  • Stand on public transport
  • Take the stairs not the elevator
  • The list goes on

Do you struggle with lack of structure around diet and exercise??

You’re frustrated, unhappy with where you are and feeling unhealthy but do not know where to start??

You're not alone. There is a world of misinformation and noise out there today and our client Chris struggled with the exact same thing for years, constantly yoyo dieting over and over again.

He kept making the same mistakes, living on an unrealistically small amount of calories on a daily basis which was unsustainable for more than a couple of weeks at a time, which led to constant frustration.

Conflicted with misinformation and lack of clear guidance he finally put his hand up to ask for some help.He reached out to us on the High Performance Health program and in just a few short months we blew Chris' mind!?

We quickly helped Chris achieve the most successful weight loss regime he’s ever had.?

By creating a realistic and healthy diet plan which contained all the foods he enjoys, we've seen Chris's weight drop from 253lbs to 215lbs in just 18 weeks.

Something Chris had been unable to do for years we’ve been able to help him achieve in around 4 months with the right structure.

Chris’s main focus now is getting down to 200 lbs and learning to maintain this whilst building some muscle, something he never thought was possible!
